At the beginning of October, Caligoo was nominated one of the 25 finalists of the Bend Venture Conference and on Friday, October 19th our company was selected among all contestants and awarded $250,000 to leverage our business efforts.
The largest Angel Conference in the Pacific Northwest, the Bend Venture Conference (BVC) is a private investment vehicle based in Bend (Oregon) and established to help financing the most promising business startups on an annual basis.
Caligoo took part to the BVC 15th edition and was presented by co-founder and CTO Nicola Iotti as one of the competing companies in the Growth Stage tier, that is those companies who already can prove to be based on a solid concept, have generated initial revenue and are prepared to scale quickly with investment. Caligoo – which was initially recruited by the Bend Venture Fund’s Managing Director Dino Venditti – will receive the $250,000 investment from Seven Peaks. Founded in 2013, Seven Peaks’ mission is to give entrepreneurs in the USA’s Pacific Northwest area an “unfair advantage” in building and scaling their business by not only providing them with capital but access to relevant experience, expertise and networks that can help them execute their vision.
The sum will be injected in the company’s efforts towards the development of our presence in the United States, even though the main headquarter – hosting the research and development team – will remain in Reggio Emilia (Italy).
